Canyoning in Ticino – the camp for experts!

Day 1 - Arrival to Expert Canyoning Switzerland

Arrival in Ticino takes place on Monday evening. Once here we set up camp at the Riarena campsite in Cugnasco. From here we start to the gorges every day.

When it comes to extreme canyoning in Switzerland for experienced canyonists, there are very different gorges to choose from, but they have only one thing in common, they are demanding and only for experienced canyonists. We encounter high waterfalls with transfer points, long, difficult approaches and challenging abseiling points in the Ticino canyons, away from the standard tours.

After an action-packed day in the canyon, we return to the campsite, where we end the day together and in the evening sit comfortably together, choose the canyon for the next day and prepare the necessary equipment. Your advantage at the Expert Camp is that you are in a homogeneous group with like-minded people and that our guides come from Ticino or have been leading in Ticino for many years and have a lot of experience and expertise.

On day 6 the program ends around 4 p.m.

Arrival and Departure: on your own

Arrival on day 1 by 10:00 p.m. and the end of the program on the last day at around 4:00 p.m.

Basecamp: Park Camping Riarena, 6516 Cugnasco

Catering: takes place on your own, possibly cooking together

  • Tour duration: daily up to 9 hours total time
  • Tour languages: German / English / Italian (on request: French)
  • Minimum number of participants: 4 people; maximum 7 people

  • Organization and planning of the camp
  • 5 expert level canyoning tours
  • Certified guides / canyoning guides according to our safety standards
  • Special equipment incl. Helmet, harness and wetsuit
  • Overnight in your own tent at the Riarena campsite

Canyoning Kobelache with Andy and Sanders – another great experience!
It was already our second tour with Andy, this time there were three of us in the Kobelache. The gorge is truly beautiful and absolutely convinced us. From the beginning, the tour was top-organized, the procedures were very routine, and one felt in good hands at all times. Big praise to Andy and Sanders for their professionalism! Unfortunately, I had to cut the tour short due to an injury – but the guides had the situation under control at all times and reacted confidently. This will definitely be repeated!
It was simply great! I have a fear of heights, but the team accompanied me incredibly well during the entire event and supported me at every moment. Adrenaline rush while canyoning in the Starzlachklamm with purelements
The canyoning with purelements was an exciting experience and activity. It was super organized from start to finish and the guides know exactly what they are doing. Not only were our guides Andreas and Noel super, but the staff and the boss in the background were also super helpful with questions beforehand. Anyone looking for an adrenaline rush and an exciting experience has come to the right place. Recommendation: We had the 9:00 AM tour with a meeting time of 8:00 AM and were the first group (13 people) in the gorge. During our tour, we were able to see several other, sometimes larger groups walking toward the entrance. The gorge may therefore be overcrowded at a later time, and waiting times at certain spots with other groups cannot be ruled out.
