procedure

Our adventure begins with the arrival in the town of Bovec. We’re moving into a cozy apartment that will be our home for the whole week. From the second day to the seventh day, 6 canyons are waiting for our visit. Each of them is in a class of its own. We choose from simple and short to demanding and long canyoning tours, which are available to us experienced canyonists.

On the second day we visit two canyons if possible – the breathtakingly beautiful Kozjak Canyon (if possible and approved at the time of travel) and the playful Sušec Canyon. An exciting combination that prepares us for the next few days. Between tours we enjoy local specialties and afterwards we visit one or the other historical place if we want.

The plan for the third day is the Canyon Fratarica. An advanced canyon with the highest abseil (48m) in the whole week. The Fratarica Gorge offers a good adrenaline-fun ratio and is the most popular canyoning tour in the region. The afternoon is reserved for caving in the Srnica Cave, which is characterized by petrified heart-shaped shells. If the weather stops we will drive to the top of Mangart Road, the highest road in Slovenia. A wonderful place and known for its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.

On the fourth day it goes to the Globoški potok canyon. Its open character and south-facing position offer a gorge where the sun shines. The result is a beautiful yellowish landscape and the unique opportunity to sunbathe even in the gorge. Since the canyon does not offer an opportunity to swim in deep pools, we have the option to do so in the afternoon under the second Soča Canyon. After that we will go to the Soča origin and see the amazing source of this emerald green river beauty.

After such intense days, the fifth day will be the day off. Time to refuel, go white water rafting, kayaking or mountain biking. Of course, if you are a real canyoning fan who can’t get enough of canyons, we can do an additional canyoning tour.

On the sixth day we will climb the Predelica gorge. It is the most varied Slovenian canyon with numerous jumps in crystal clear water and some breathtaking abseiling points. It is also the longest canyoning trip of our Slovenia week.

The last canyoning destination is Rio Simon on the 7th day. It is known as the Eldorado of the Julian Alps. Warm sunlight follows you most of the time if we enter the canyon at the right time. The walls are higher than 100 m in some places and decorated with curtains made by waterfalls that take our breath away. Countless jumps and waterfall abseils are just waiting for us. That is why we have included it in our program, even if it is only a few kilometers across the Slovenian-Italian border.

Day 8 is the day of saying goodbye to Slovenia.

The days and ravines just fly by. It’s always difficult, but new adventures with purelements are still waiting for you.
