Each day of our tour is structured around six stops, and those who are familiar with them can start their adventure feeling more relaxed. We start at the meeting point with a welcome and equipment handout, followed by a detailed briefing that includes a dry-run rappelling exercise, the approach to the canyon, the actual tour through water and rock, and finally a group photo at the exit. You’ll receive the exact meeting point with your booking confirmation; the complete Edelrid gear is included in the price; and there’s no time pressure at any point, because we set the pace based on the group. Arrive, Get Equipped, Get Oriented: The First Hour
Arriving relaxed is the best way to start, which is why it’s a good idea to allow a little extra time for your trip; ideally, you should already be wearing your swimwear under your regular clothes at home. At the meeting point, your guide will welcome you, and then you’ll be given a wetsuit, helmet, harness, and special canyoning shoes from our partner Edelrid; the guide will help you adjust them until everything fits properly. During the briefing that follows, the guide will explain the canyon, how to behave in the water, communication via hand signals, and the safety rules, before you move on to a dry-land rappelling practice; you’ll repeat this exercise as many times as needed until you’ve mastered the movements, and questions are welcome at every stage. This thoroughness is made possible by our guide-to-guest ratio of no more than eight guests per guide, which allows enough time for each individual. Only once everyone is prepared do we begin the uphill hike to the canyon, which also serves as a warm-up. In the Gorge: Passages, Breaks, and the Conclusion
Once you enter the canyon, the part you came for begins, and from this point on, you’ll follow the water’s path as a group. Climbing sections over smooth, polished rock alternate with swimming stretches through clear pools, natural rock slides, and secured rappelling spots, with the guide explaining each section in advance and action spots like jumps remaining optional; in the Starzlachklamm, the 18-meter-long natural slide awaits as the grand finale. Between the active sections, we intentionally create quiet moments to marvel at the scenery and catch your breath, because, according to our philosophy, the true experience requires time and attention. Once you reach the exit, our included photo service captures the moment in a group photo before you head back to your dry clothes; a change of clothes, warm socks, and a light snack are therefore essential items to pack.
